History

A beautiful country in South America nestled between the Andes Mountains and Amazon jungle—Ecuador although traditionally a peaceful country has suffered years of political insecurity. Due to high levels of poverty, alcohol abuse, and domestic violence the effects on children and youth have been profound.

What we’re doing

We have a variety of projects throughout the nations capital and in remote surrounding areas. Our current projects include:

  • A Mentorship/Discipleship program for youth in a high-level youth prison.  Through weekly classes, relationship building, and discipleship the lives of these at-risk youth are being transformed. Authorities have praised our program as the young men are demonstrating great transformation in their lives.
  • Partnering with a local ministry who consistently feed 120 malnourished children in southern Quito.  (in 2001 45% of Ecuador’s children under the age of five were malnourished)
  • Distributing supplies and establishing relationship with women in the national maternity hospital. The vast majority of the women come from extreme poverty with no way to care for their new-born child. Many have suffered abuse, are under-age, and have no form of help or protection. We bring in baby supplies, provide grief counseling, and build relationship and support for the women and children.
  • We do a variety of outreaches and aide distribution in areas of extreme poverty and exploitation.
  • Training churches and youth to be ambassadors of compassion and change within their country.

How Can You Help

We are in need of a variety of supplies for our projects such as: baby clothes, baby blankets, maternity vitamins, bibles, discipleship materials in Spanish, computers, etc.

Bring a team to come and serve one of our locations (example: a team came and did an “Extreme Makeover” on the children’s feeding facility. They painted, bought furniture, brought in food and cooking supplies, etc)
