History

As you may know, you don’t have to go across the world to find issues of injustice and brokenness. Being an American-based organization we have such a passion for the children and the issues right here in our own backyard, and we are committed to being agents of change.

What We Are Doing

Although a large portion of what we do in the United States is raise awareness and train and empower people to be the change they want to see, we also do a variety of outreach to families at risk as well.  At our Los Angeles, CA headquarters we commonly distribute needed living/household supplies to immigrant families, single moms, and families in crisis. We are currently developing a youth mentorship program in the MacArthur Park region targeting children and youth at risk, and building relationships with fellow organizations in the MacArthur Park region to strengthen our impact.

For nearly a decade we have been speaking in churches, schools, conferences, etc inspiring and training people and creating onramps for involvement.  We periodically offer intensive leadership training courses and internship programs. We are working in collaboration with Expression 58 ministries www.expression58.org  to start a school of activation in 2011 in Los Angeles, CA.

How Can You Help

Pray for God to send us the right people, the right resources, and the right office and building space in Los Angeles to further develop our programs and impact on the MacArthur Park community.
Host an event in your hometown that raises awareness and provokes people to action. (see our ‘Join Us’ section for more information)
Give! We need substantial resources to sustain our youth mentorship program in the heart of urban Los Angeles.
